A day of two halves. For the morning, we had some wonderful walking on beautiful beaches and frolicked in some very impressive surf when we wanted to cool down (the sun was out with a vengeance today).
Mid-afternoon, we did a car shuffle and set oursleves up with full camping gear for the 'hike in' walk to Ryan's Den (you have to take everything with you that you will need - there is no car access). This was less wonderful, as we walked and walked... and walked.. but no sign of Ryan's Den. So our campsite for the night was the flatest part of the path that we could find, with the most cover from the wind. Still, our impromptu campsite had a rural charm all of its own (plus, we found afterwards, some of the itchiest biting flying things that you could possibly have met). The 2L bag of port that we brought with us was much appreciated that night.
