We got the scenic boat from Siem Reap to Battanbang, getting up at 515 and finding that our journey took 7 hours and not 5 as we had been told. The city is duller than we had thought. There are few restaurants. Dave ended up with an 'úpset stomach' again for several hours.

Frankly the highlight has been the James Bond season on TV in our room (Diamonds are Forever and Live and Let Die today - the latter being Dave's joint favourite Bond (it is tied with Moonraker)). A-M kindly did not get annoyed by Dave parrotting out the Roger Moore quipiccisims before the great man himslef delivered them. The TV has been useful for when you are too weak or apathetic to leave the hotel.

We are off to Bangkok tomorrow, hopefully better days than this are ahead!
