We caught a taxi to the border town of Poipet, and before long we were thundering along a Thai road (dual carrigaeway!) towards the bus terminal. After stocking up on fruit, iced coffee and Leo beer our bus sped towards Bangkok (BKK). The entertainemnt had already stepped up a gear compared to Cambodia - karaoke was banished in favour of futuristic kung fu battles featuring wizards and warriors. The body count was quite impresive. At the northern bus terminal, taxi touts tried to get us to pay over the ods to go to the city centre. 'No my good man', we cried, 'we seek the skytrain!" Advance planning had shown us to be quite close to BKKs latest transport inovation. A metered taxi took us the 2km ride from where we bought our smartcards and zoomed off high above the city. We checked into The White Room in 'The Urban Age' and proceeded to procure all the goods we had struggled to find in Cambodia (eg nail polish remover to fix up A-Ms beach manicure from Sihanoukville - pink did not suit as much as was originally thought). At the main railway station we bought the first leg of our ticket to Singapore in preparation for the trip 2 days hence. As we were about to leave the stattion the words "tombstone piledriver" froze us to the spot. Turning transfixed we saw that above the waiting area a huge screen was showing Kane and the brother he once buried alive (but who subsequently rose from the dead) The Undertaker in unapposable tag team form. Truly, WWE has enriched so many differenrt elements of our trip! after an all you can eat sushi buffet we retired to The White Room for the night.
