Have been watching the second week of tennis at home as all tickets for the big matches have been sold. The weather in Melbourne for the past week has been unseasonably cool, around 20 -23c, so different to last year, but infinitely better than experiencing this years English winter. Yesterday, Tom's friend, Laura, spent the day with us and we hired a car for a trip to the wineries of the Yarra Valley. Laura lives in Sydney ( David and I stayed with her last year) but she was in Melbourne for a few days. We visited 3 wineries and a brewery, lunching at a winery. See picture. weather was still cool and rainy so not many other visitors around the places we visited, making the day more enjoyable and ensuring we had personal attention.
