THE LONGEST EVER COACH JOURNEY - 3 DAYS Day 3 on the fun Bus!! Just waiting for the coach driver to fix the bus! We have broke down in Peru, a little town called Chala. Gutting as we only have another 8 hours to Lima, Peru (thats where I need to be). One of the guys on the coach has had to phone the airline to change the flight that he was due to catch tonight. He has had to pay a nice sum of $150 to change it. Shame as he could have paid the extra in the first place and had a nice 4 hour flight to Peru instead of this 3 day hell ride. The ride has not been too bad. Most of the people on the bus are from Peru and they are a lively bunch. We have seen some beautiful sites along the way from Argentina. We have cut through chile and then up to Peru. We are now going along the coach of Peru with is very nice. All we can see for miles is the ocean. Lucky for us the bus broke down at the local villiage so we can use the internet and get a drink. I feel like getting rather drunk right down but I think I will still to the local drink - Inca Kola (a green fizzy drink). Cola Cola actually own this brand as Cola Cola never hit off in Peru, they all love the green stuff so Cola Cola branded it Inca Kola. There is a little fact for you. God, I think this bus journey is now starting to make me brain dead. Hopefully we will get to Lima some time tonight as I have a flight at 9.30am tomorrow morning to Cusco. I then start the Inca Trail on Wednesday morning. And I am so looking forward to it, cant wait. It will make this coach journey worth while once I get to see Machu Picchu. Bye x
