Arrived in Arequipa today at 5.30am. Only a 10 hr bus journey. Rather short for me. Hardly had time to sleep! Walked round town today. Very nice city, lots of churches! Though to go in you have to pay - like 5 pounds!!! So I just had a look from the outside. Tomorrow morning going on a 3 day tour up the Colca Canyon. Will be staying in lodges this time, not tents! Not as hard core as the inca trail. On day 2 we visit a little Oasis and can swim there all afternoon. Day 3 though we have to get up at 3am to walk up the Volcano! 3am!!! I hope no one trys to talk to me at that time of morning. I won't be too chatty to say the least! On the tour we will visit some locals and also see the condors flying. I'll give you the update when I get back on Sunday evening. xxx
