Day Six Sunday 9th July 2023
Today was going to be rainy so we had decided to go out for breakfast before the heavens opened. We once again found ourselves going to Thorpeness and sitting by the mere with a tea cake and bacon sandwich. Plenty of ducks around today as well as an open-air church service!
We also had some time to kill until the local fisherman would be back from the seas hopefully with our crab. So, we went home as it was pouring with rain by now.
At the prescribed time we left for Sizewell where the fisherman had his shack. YES, there was crab available, so Anita bought two for our meal tomorrow evening.
We took them home and then went off again to Sizewell to meet Rich, Kelly and Annie for lunch at the 'Vulcan Arms'. This pub was recommended for its food and to be fair the food was good, although the fifties and sixties background music needed to be updated.
After the meal we all came back to base for a Cuppa and some cake and a chat.
In the evening we went back again to Sizewell so that Anita could have a stroll on the beach.
Total travel distance was 30 miles.
Tomorrow we are off to Woodbridge and Snape.
