Anish's Travels
Day 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44 (16/04 - 23/04)
Hello
Been over a week since i last wrote, mainly because of the archaic computers they have here, with rubbish Internet. In Nha Trang at the moment but i shall backtrack.
On the 16th i left for Hue on a night train arriving on the 17th. I can't really remember what we did there, which probably means we didnt do anything exciting. I think we are only there for 2 days one night. Yes, thats right, i remember now. We didnt do anything the first day, apart from walk around the town which took about 15 mins, and Heren brought a football. The second day, we went on a motorcycle tour of the city, which was quite fun. Then we left at 2pm for Hoi An on a bus. a 3 hour journey.
Arrived in Hoi An, and found some accommodation. The did some exploring around the town. The town has masses of tailoring shops. You could but tons of clothes here for dirt cheap. I already planned to buy before i came here. So i started looking around that evening. Got dragged into one shop, and well a few days later came out with 2 suits and some light weight trousers (2 jackets, 2 shirts and 2 trousers) for 130 dollars, so about 70 pound, so 35 pound for each suit. Not too bad, though the tailoring wasnt amazing. It then cost me about 30 pound to send it all home. Whilst the suit was being made over 2 days, we just explored the town. The town is on the coast and there is a very nice beach, so we were at the beach for a while.
We left Hoi An on the 21st, and travelled to Nha Trang. Heren took a flight in the morning arriving the same morning in Nha Trang. Me and Len (Canadian) spent the day in Hoi An (an hour of which was in the post office), and left for Nha Trang on a bus at 6pm. An 11 hour journey!! On a full bus! Was rather uncomfortbale, and hot and sticky; too many people on there to be able to notice the air con. But it was only 6 dollars. Now in Nha Trang, which is another beach town. And again, a very nice beach. And the food is great here, even Heren is pleased which is sometimes a hard thing to do when it comes to food. Anyways flying out of here tomorrow morning to Ho Chi Minh.
Im not sure when im next going to write, so i will inform you now of further plans. Heren and i are are proabably going seperate ways now, well for atleast 2 weeks. On the 27th April im flying to Cambodia, on my own (Len will meet me there on the 28th). On the 26th Heren is flying to Kuala Lumpur. He doesnt want to go to Cambodia. However, we plan to meet in Southern Thailand, around the 14th May, at full moon party.
