Merimbula has a really long nice beach, I think it was 7km in total, and you can walk it all. We tried one day but got so far and gave up. The beach just kept coming and it didnt seem like it was going to end. The YHA was really nice and had a nice homely feel. You could even feed the lorikeets which were hanging around outside. We stayed in Narooma for 3 nights, and it was great. I really fell in love with Narooma. It was a little town on the coast about 90 minutes away from Batemans Bay. It had lovely scenery, the YHA where we stayed was brilliant and the guy who ran it was great. We did a few walks along the coast, saw some seals, visited Australia rock and headed to the beach. We caught the train from Sydney at 9.15am and arrived in Batemans Bay around 3pm. We stayed at the YHA which was also a caravan park. We had our very own caravan to stay in, lol. All we kept thinking of was the scene from The Inbetweeners. We stayed 2 nights at Batemans Bay, it wasn't the best weather, and it was an ok town, with not much to do really. The time was spent chilling and taking walks along the seafront.

We arrived into Sydney at just gone 7am. We left Byron Bay at 5.30pm and was to arrive at Woombah woods caravan park at 9pm, where Nicola would pick us up, as the bus didnt go into Iluka.
