We got off the boat around mid day and spent some time in the sun by the lagoon. We spent some time on the internet, chatting to mum and dad and then found a pub to watch the first half of the football before having to get the overnight bus. Oh guess what I had for tea . . . . a roast turkey dinner!

We woke up after managing to get some sleep on the swaying boat, to a much sunnier day! We had a little snorkel, but as these suits didn't cover our feet Ang was tired of keeping them out of the water after about 10 mins. We then sailed to Whitehaven Beach. It's the one in the picture but this photo just doesn't do it justice - we have some stunning ones we will up load in the next few days. We got on our boat, Silent Night, and the sky wasn't looking too happy. Sure enough just as we started to sail the heavens opened and not quite the lovely sailing experience we had been hoping of! By the time we got to the place we could snorkel we had started to dry off so decided to give it a miss for today. The skipper of the boat said we could go out in the smaller boat and feed the fish near to where the others were. And we are so glad we did because a beaut...

We had a lazy start before walking down the esplanade, and enjoying a swim at the lagoon - outside swimming pool. We then caught the overnight bus to Airlie Beach, which was surprisingly not so bad.

Today we are off to visit the Great Barrier Reef! We were a little unsure when we arrived at the first dive sight, and let all the others go before eventually being persuaded to actually get in! As it's 'stinger' season - or jelly fish to us non-Aussies - we had to put on our full body, lycra suits . . . I know what an image!
