Interesting to say the least! After the bus had been pulled over and searched for drugs and weapons one of the locals from the bus gave the police a wad of notes and we were on our way! We got unpacked and went out with the intentions of finding the market Dad had told us about, until the heavens opened! So we found a bar, which we later discovered was famous as it’s the oldest in Sao Paulo.
Startled , to say the very least, to find 4 people managing to get into our room at 1am. We think they may have just not realised they were at the wrong room, but worrying that their key card opened our door. I produced the loudest and most terrifying scream, which in turn made Ang scream, and the people then screamed and ran off!! Think I woke the whole hotel and amusing now, but was scary at the time.
