Happy birthday to our very lovely Mum x After a birthday sing song via skype we walked to the Liberdade and had a look at around the cathedral before lunch – where we somehow managed to order frango sweet and sour style! (chicken) Drinks in the Vila Madelena area and chats with Anthony.

We went to the football stadium to try to get tickets for the match but they were sold out  So we spent most of the day just wondering around seeing some of the city.

Interesting to say the least! After the bus had been pulled over and searched for drugs and weapons one of the locals from the bus gave the police a wad of notes and we were on our way! We got unpacked and went out with the intentions of finding the market Dad had told us about, until the heavens opened!
