17th Nov, Got the bus from Jaisalmer that took around 6 hours and we went from a peaceful village to a busy city, so it was a bit of a shock at 1st. Got a tuk tuk to the hotel, had a curry and had a fairly early night, so all in all not much done that day!

18th Nov, Went to the Meheragah Fort, which is massive and famous for a Michael Douglas mastercard advert! Went round with an audio tape learning about the various maharajas. At the fort, I had my palm read - he told me he could tell that I live a healthy life-style and look after myself! He also got my age wrong, despite having written down my name and D.O.B, so I didn't rate him myself! On the way down from the fort I had a game of cricket with the local kids. I smashed them all over the place (they were about 5/6!) then they brought on their older brother (about 7) and I hit him for 6 before retiring not out!!! Jodhpur was a lot more peaceful than I thought it would have been after the original shock. It's called the 'blue city' and is famous for the trousers! I'm also getting into my chai and drinking lassi's. Another curry and early night - getting ready for the 6.45 am bus to Udaipur!
