17th Nov. Just back from my camel safari, booked with Trotters Inderpendent Travels!! I found that very funny, but as the rest of the people going were Aussies, none of them got it. It was about 2 and a half hours on the camel across the Thar desert and pretty uncomfortable. Tthen we got the the campsite, took in the sunset and got a fire going. There was a Rajasthani folk band there and dancers, who got a few people to get up and join in - obviously I was up and getting in the swing of things. Had some curry and slept under the stars - so peaceful and was the 1st time stars have been seen since I got to India! Once moning came, it was back on the bumpy camels and back to Jaisalmer to get a bus to Jodhpur that takes 6 hours India time.
