Waking up in time for our last free breakfast despite the amount of rum we had drunk the night before, we took our time enjoying the delights on offer before heading back to our room to pack. Once this was done we relaxed on the comfy bed for the last hour or so before we had to check out of the hotel. Leaving our bags behind the reception we decided to go out souvenir shopping, if we could find anything suitable, then when it started spitting with rain thought that it must be lunch time. Not finding anywhere better to go, as all the 'Puerto Rican' places where we had hoped to try some local dishes were very overpriced, we found ourselves back at Denny's in almost the same seats as last time. Having had breakfast however we weren't so famished as we had been last time we were here and so just ordered a plate of Nachos between us thinking we could always get a dessert afterwards if we were still hungry. No dessert was necessary, what came out for our plate of Nachos was more like a mountain of them, smothered in chilli, cheese, salsa and cheese sauce with a huge scoop of sour cream on the top it was all we could do to finish it, but we managed somehow and agreed we would definitely have them again if we could! Walking back to the hotel now the rain had stopped we spent a couple of hours sitting in the reception, enjoying the free coffee and doing some stuff on the computer before at around 6 o'clock we picked up our bags and on the directions of the receptionist made for the bus stop. When we got there there were already two men waiting and they kindly told us that we had missed our bus by 20 minutes but that another would be along eventually as they supposedly run every hour. They also advised us that you need exact change in coins as the drivers wont change anything and swapped a load of quarters for us so we didnt have to go begging round the shops. We sat and waited as the men's buses came and went and we were left watching the world go by which seemed to consist mainly of dog walkers and joggers, something we haven't seen since we left North America, until eventually an hour after we got there the bus turned up! We sat on the almost empty bus for about half an hour looking at all the hotels and fast food places that lined the streets as we went by when the driver told us we were at the final stop which wasn't exactly what we had thought it would be. We were expecting a terminal of some sort but it was just a regular stop before a roundabout where the driver turned round and went back in the opposite direction. Not too worried though,we were advised by an old guy that the bus to the airport would here any minute and once again were lucky enough to change some money with him so we could get on the bus when it arrived 10 minutes later. A short, bumpy ride and we were at the Airport we knew so well from our previous 28 hour layover and instead of going inside, headed straight across the road to the Wendy's to get dinner as we knew all that would be on offer inside would be subway, most other places seeming to close quite early. After we had eaten we made our way across the terminal to our favourite spot on the floor between the toilets as this is the only plug we could find and sat and watched a few episodes of True Blood on the computer before retiring to the seating area to get some sleep.
