Our bus arrived only 1 hour late and after sorting our bags we bought tickets for the Metro in order to get back to the hostel we had stayed at previously albeit a day earlier than planned. Originally we had thought to go to Oaxaca on the way back from Palenke for a few days, but we had liked it so much in our little paradise that we stayed longer than planned, plus it would have cost us a lot more in bus journeys. Once on the platform we realised we didnt stand a chance of getting on the Metro until rush hour was over and so stood watching people cram themselves on the already packed carriages for 20 mins or so. By now it was just after 9am and in a few more minutes it was quiet enough for us to got on without suffocating or getting reproachful looks about the size of our bags taking up so much room. Once we reached our stop we walked the kilometre or so back to the hostel where thankfully they had room for us but were told we couldn't check in until 3, which was fine with us as we needed to get on the internet to try and find somewhere to stay in Puerto Rico in a few days time as well as catch up with blogs and loading up pictures etc. Later on we went out to the shop to buy some bits for dinner before getting ready to go out dancing that night. It was Wednesday and that meant ladies free night at Mama Rumba again where we enjoyed another night's dancing to live music in an awesome venue, getting to bed at around 2.30am.
