Fondue and Cheesecake.

After only getting in at 7am we slept the rest of the morning, eventually leaving the hotel at 2 p.m.
Having been travelling now for a month it is natural that Mae has decided she needs some new clothes. So we head off towards Woodfield mall which is just a couple of blocks from the hotel. This place is HUGE and after wandering around and getting lost for a while, eventually we decided to have lunch at Ruby Tueasday where we order a shrimp fondue between us and a salad each as we are trying to get fresh vegetables when we can. The fondue arrived with free Cheese biscuits (like cheese scones) and an assortment of Tortilla chips made with 3 different types of corn. It was delicious (Or NOM as Mae puts it) and there was loads of it plenty for the 2 of us. After this we went to Sears, a department store which had a sale on, but not before passing the Rainforest Cafe. This is an amazing restaurant/shop which is decorated to look like you are in a rainforest complete with Fish tank bar, mechanical animals, fountains to simulate the sound of rain (it is actually raining inside!!), trees, plants and rocks. It is the most lively and animated café you will ever go to and Mae has decided she wants to live there!! They also sell clothes and souvenirs in a separate section and, like everywhere in America it is very loud. So after Mae has looked around the Sears sale for a good 2-3 hours, eventually buying 2 pairs of shorts, we are now feeling a little hungry and decide we'll get something to eat and head back to the hotel to watch a film. So we head to THE CHEESECAKE FACTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How could you not! Since there was a 30-40 minute wait for a table we deecide to get a take-away from the extensive list of Cheesecakes available, Mae chooses Kaluha, Chocolate and Coffee which was so rich she had to eat it in 2 sittings, whereas I decided on White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle. Both cakes were amazing however we though there should be a taster tray available to sample the 30 or so available! We then headed back to the Hotel to watch Dirty Dancing (which Matt downloaded and put on DVD for us but has likely still not watched himself) and find out that the White Sox won today's game, yes they play on consecutive days, and sometimes they even play 2 games on the same day. (and even 2 games one day and another the day after).
