Broome was a very interesting place for us...we couldn't decide whether we liked it or not!
We began by trying to find a caravan park that was dog friendly...no luck! There's only one dog friendly park there and it didn't have a pool...which we really wanted as we were going to be there for a week. We approached Cable Beach Caravan Park and I ended up begging the owner to see if we could stay there. Success!! He allowed us to stay there if we 'hid' Charli. Of course we did and the fact that we were at the back of the park away from EVERYONE made that pretty easy! We just put up 2/3 of our annex so that people walking past couldn't see Charli chilling outside. tee hee sneaky, sneaky!
Cable Beach was a dog friendly beach so we took Charli down there when the sun was setting nearly everyday. The first few days we went there were GIANT gross jelly fish all over the sand and in the water. Apparently they don't sting but it even made it hard to walk on the beach as you had to make sure you didn't step on them! eww After a few days they had gone! Like magic! But there were signs up saying that the stingers had taken over so we didn't swim there. We couldn't stop Charli from bounding through the waves! Every evening there were camel tours along the beach but we didn't end up going on a tour. It was great to watch them all coming up the beach though!
We went down "China Town" to check out the shopping.....pearls!!! They were so beautiful...too bad you need a bazillion dollars to buy some! We did enjoy our time down there though, eating at the 'Roey' and drinking the delicious Ginger beer that is brewed there. Well, I had it anyway. It was surprisingly refreshing in the hot weather.
The pool at the caravan park was well worth smuggling Charli in. We left her in the air conditioned van while we had a dip. It was lovely with a waterfall and lots of space...which was needed with the many children who were there!
We enjoyed exploring Broome, just going for drives around and having a look. While doing this we found a market (which was fabulous!), a beach you can drive on and set up camp on for the day, the town beach where we had lunch and little tracks of really, REALLY red dirt.

Chloe I love how you smuggle Charli into places! I can just see her hiding under the doona waiting to be told it is ok to come out! haha
