Dampier...we are so lucky we decided to stop here! We originally were going to stop at Port Hedland but when we drove through it we decided to keep going. It didn't have a nice feel to it and we couldn't find a nice caravan park that take dogs.

So...off to Dampier we went! Going through Karratha it had a much nicer feel to it than Port Hedland, so we already knew we had done the right thing. Andy asked at the little caravan park if we were allowed to bring Charli in for a night and lucky enough we were! yay!

We went to visit red dog and took lots of photos, went to the oval to throw a ball to Charli, watched the sunset, relaxed outside (it was cool enough!) and had an early night after a BIG day of driving!

Considering Karratha and Dampier are filled with people working at the mines (probably from all over Australia), it was a very beautiful and welcoming place and the big ships and mining equipment just added to the character of the place.
