Today was our free day in Cusco. So we thought about maybe having a lie in given all the early mornings we’d been having. No such luck! Bells ringing and someone hammering nearby woke us up at some ungodly hour. Still we had a lazy start to the day then wandered to Jack’s café for breakfast; we highly recommend the ´Gordo´, a very good (and big!) English breakfast containing French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, fried potatos, beans, tomatoes (we then added mushrooms!). Delicious!

Played on the internet for 5 hours between us for less than 1.50GBP. Wandered round the shops but didn´t buy anything. Tried to post one of our photo CD´s home but TNT wanted US$64. We declined!

Visited the Inca Musuem – the stories our Inca Trail guide told us really helped as not everything in the museum was labeled in English.

Collected our laundry – the lady who did our washing was fantastic! Everything was folded really nicely and boy was it nice to have some clean clothes! Had our meeting about going into the mighty jungle then out for food. A nice relaxing day.
