Today we took a city tour of Lima. We saw lots of large colonial style buildings in the centre of the city. It seemed fairly quiet for a capital city (certainly not as busy as London!). Lots of the buildings have impressive balconies, some of which are designed to be able to see into, others not. After a night of frantic packing and last minute sorting out, less than six hours sleep, then 30 hours of travelling (!) we finally made it to our hotel in Lima, the capital of Peru. Plane landed around 6am local time - it was nice seeing Lima all peaceful and quiet on a Sunday morning. Trying to stay awake to avoid the effects of jet lag; or at least stay awake until our hotel rooms ready! It still hasn't quite sunk in that this is the start of a seven month...
