I stayed in 1770 for a few more days chatting up the 20 somethings and swimming and basically just having a good time.
Then it was time to move on and so because I was feeling lazy I bought a ticket on a Greyhound bus to Mackay it was an 8 hour trip north ( we live in a Really LARGE country ) which I slept most of the way .
I arrived in Mackay at 5:10 in the morning and started looking for a camping ground.
After a short cab ride I found one and set up my gear.
I spent two days in Mackay and really didn't do much at all except a little swimming and catching up on my laundry.
Mackay is a fairly large town similar to Wollonong. But not much too do in the town itself.
I did visit their very small art gallery and even went and saw a film.
After a few days I had all my gear on my back hitching north again.
