After sleeping in, I wandered through the Brisbane botanical gardens (which are very beautiful ) and came across "Governers house" (pictured).
A beautiful building that featured a room of computers where I went on a virtual tour of the building as it looked in the 1800's quite impressive.
Then quite a long walk to Southbank where I spent a few hours walking through the state art gallery and also the museum.
The museum was quite interesting as they were showcaseing an exabition of Burke and Wills.
For those of you who don't know Burke and Wills were the first explorers to try to navigate from Adelaide to the Gulf of Carpentaria overland.
It is the 150th Anniversary of their trip and the museum was showing alot of info and artifacts.
Unfortunately both Burke and Wills died on their adventure after coming within a few killometeres of their goal their was only one survivor from the trip a guy named King that was left alive in the end.
It made me think of my Adventure around Austrailia too, I'm glad I won't have to be so unfortunate as I can rely on what those great men and the many who came after them that made my trip possible.
I do admire their adventuros spirit and hope I have a little of it too.
