Millars In Europe
Pont du Gard is a Roman viaduct built some time between 19 BC and 60 AD to take water across the valley to supply the city of Nimes as part of a 50km aqueduct project. It is largely intact after 2000 or so years and is one of the most visited tourist destinations in France. About the same length as the Newmarket viaduct which lasted about 35 years...??
