Went to "Brissy" today and quite enjoyed this very charming city. Unfortunately we had intended to take a river cruise but because it was so high and crews were cleaning up debris from the cyclone no boats were allowed on the river. So we visited South Bank Parklands, a riverside location with a fabulous array of attractions & activities, children's playground, man-made beach, and aqua area. A great place for tourists and locals - it's diverse, colourful and there's seems to always be something to do including an impromptu performance by the Brisbane Symphony Orchestra. Wonderful!
Another great attraction is a gigantic observation Ferris Wheel that offered a spectacular 360 degree panoramic view of the city.
Finished the day at Queensland Museum, which features a showcase of wonderful, interesting collections from dinosaurs to fashions.
