Ok, one more thing before we leave this lovely country.
While we were here we drove 4350 km and here are the things that we will remember about being a driver and navigator in Oz land:
* being the designated navigator I personally love their roundabouts. Why, you may ask? Well, if you're not sure which way to turn you can keep going around in the circle until you figure it out. That's good isn't it?
* Also, if you do turn the wrong way, it's ok here to make a U turn (most places)
* roundabouts also mean you don't need to stop at intersections, unless of course there's a vehicle coming around ON YOUR RIGHT!
* they have a sense of humour here in Oz land, where else in the world would you change the name of a street 3 times within 500 meters? Cute!!
* you Give Way, not Yeild
* they have Overtaking Lanes not Passing Lanes
* you stay on the left lane at all times unless you are overtaking
* they have speed cameras so if your speeding you probably won't know if you got caught until you get home ... We could have a few ????
* they like to hide their parking regulations signs in trees, our one ticket was a parking ticket for $99
