What could be more wonderful than swimming in a salt water pool fed by the ocean in a glorious setting? One of the many beautiful scenes we've encountered as we make our way down the coast to Melbourne. We are currently in the little village of Narooma (aboriginal name means "clear, blue water) and will spend the night here with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Had the best fish & chips for lunch in the little town of Kiama ("place where sea makes noise")at a restaurant called Hunky Dory's and amazingly the fish we had was a "John Dory", delicious, who knew?
We did see the result of a fire during our trip ... in a National Park .. there are currently 123 fires burning in the region but we've not seen much in the way of smoke or fire anywhere else. I think the cooler temps. have helped the fight. However, the temperature is supposed to raise again and people are concerned throughout many states.
