Today was a walk 'till you drop day. We started off by taking the bus from our hotel to the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge (which you can climb for a birds eye view of all of Sydney for only $200). We decided to take a tour of the Opera House instead and that was worth every penny. This marvel designed by Danish architect Jorn Utzon impressed Grant so much that he bought us tickets to see an opera tomorrow night. A first for both of us. The building took 15 years & $102 millionAU to complete. It is indeed one of the wonders of the world.
Met David Ellis for lunch and he took us threw the Royal Botanical Gardens over to Woolloomooloo (don't you just love this Aussie name) where we ended up at a Pub in Kings Cross. Had a great time with David, learned of all the wonderful places we need to explore while here in Oz. When David returned to work we took a walking tour of The Rocks which is the best place to learn of the history & heritage of Sydney. A wonderful place of cobbled laneways and cozy cafes. Now after about 8 hours of pounding the pavement we are back in our little apartment soaking our aching feet.
Today's Temp. 35C and sunny
