There is so much to see in and around Dunedin we've stayed here for three days. Also, after driving for over 3600km so far in NZ, Richard needed a bit of a rest.
From the photo you will gather that the campervan can serve as a bedroom, kitchen and office. It is also used as a bird hide, reading room, dining room, photo editing room, mini studio and toilet.
Yesterday was very special. We went to a Salvation Army worship service. This is not normally where we're found on a sunday morning but yesterday made it three sundays running we've been to a 'Corps' meeting. Over here they're more like community churches. We understand that English Corps are rather different, but we shall be making a point of finding out when we return.
Yesterday we also saw the rarest species of penguin and the smallest; yellow-eyed and small blue. Both were in their natural habitat, we just had to find them. Infact the small blue came to us, but it was nearly dark. They were really looking for their burrows. We had to be careful not to walk into them. They're only about a foot tall - very cute waddling all over the place.
Today we're heading for the Catlins coastal rainforest.
