When we arrived in Wellington there was a gale blowing and a swell of six metres. So we chickened out of the night crossing and went at 08.00 the next morning. And where did we sleep? Yes you've guessed it, a supermarket carpark!

Now we're zooming around the South Island. Kaikoura is beautiful with a range of snow-topped mountains behind it and a lovely beach and sea infront.
