Home at last.....but where is home now? At the end of our ride on the Underground, Kate will collect us outside Rayners Lane station and ferry us to Ana's mum's. Nearly home. A two hour stop in Madrid airport before catching the final plane of our trip - to London Heathrow. We must visit Europe sometime!

Our activity category is certainly trekking. We've just finished the four day trek to Machu Picchu on the Inca Trail. The centre of Cusco has a beautiful plaza surrounded by Spanish colonial buildings. The cathedral is very impressive. All the buildings are constructed out of stone and the pavements are square stone paviers. Most of the roads are cobbles. Just a short walk away there is a warren of small streets, passageways and pathways. Some consist of stone steps as the gradiant is so steep. We left Copacabana on Saturday. A three hour bus journey brought us to Puno in Peru. The border crossing was as basic as the one into Bolivia from Argentina. As then, a simple room, no computer to scan the passports and a grumpy looking man with the stamps. Still only one door but fewer people this time and our large bags were on the bus - nobody even looked at them this time. Today (9th Dec.) we went on a tour of a few reed villages that float on Lake Titicaca....
