The centre of Cusco has a beautiful plaza surrounded by Spanish colonial buildings. The cathedral is very impressive. All the buildings are constructed out of stone and the pavements are square stone paviers. Most of the roads are cobbles. Just a short walk away there is a warren of small streets, passageways and pathways. Some consist of stone steps as the gradiant is so steep.

This is our third day in Cusco as we continue to prepare for the Inca Trail that we start tomorrow.
