Hey guys, Gonna be a pretty short entry for today as havent really done a lot! Will hopefully put the pics on tomorrow tho as you have to see the scenery to appreciate how beautiful it is. We walked to the lagoon this morning, very big and pretty - lots of palm trees and water reeds. Hired a little pedal boat for half an hour and had fun working our way around the lagoon. Hard work when theres no shade!! After this we left the hotel and made our way back to Ica to catch the bus to Nazca. We had just missed the coach, but ended up getting on this little mini bus thing. Our bags were thrown on to the roof rack on top. (very worried they might fall off) We were shown to the very front seats so had a very good view out. Had to wait on the bus till it was full, then set off. Took about 2 1/2 hours to get to Nazca. Was a very scary ride at some points. Had to go through the mountains, so were swerving round corners at considerable speed, looking down at they valley below with no barriers on the edge of the road. Ahhhh! Arrived all in one piece tho, and the bags were fine, a little dusty if anything! Were met at the bus stop by people from hotels, luckily one of them was from the hotel we wanted, so we followed him for about 10 minutes until we arrived at Hotel Estrella del Sur. Its a lovely place -very good value. As soon as we walked in there was a lady mopping the floors in our room, its all very clean and smells a little of bleach! The room is the best we have had so far - nice beds, towels, intercom, very decent bathroom and a TV!! And were paying the same as the previous hotel. Breakfast is also included in the price, so think we might stick around here for a couple of days to save a bit of money! Did a bit of washing, so thats hanging up drying at the mo. Also we have booked ourselves a flight over the Nazca Lines, doong that at 7.30 am tomorrow so will hopefully have some good pics on here tomorrow night. Well thats about it for today, gonna get some dinner now. Miss u xxx
