Heya,

First CONGRATULATIONS to my sister on having a baby boy, Liam James Angel. Can't wait to hug him next year!! He was born on the 21st Feb (hopr that was the english date and not the date in Oz?) weighing 8ibs 13oz.

This is just a quick update for 2 reasons -

(1) I have done nothing of any interest to anyone in the last few weeks, other than get drunk and generally be merry and in doing so have seemed to alienate half the male population of Australia. Travis = Finto. Maddog = Finto. Not one to sit and cry, I now have the realisation that flying 22.5 hours does not make the male race any nicer or any hotter. Ha ha.

(2) I now have a job at ANZ doing data mapping. Its great, the pay is crazy the equivalent to 2 weeks wages in England for a weeks work. Yes I know that the cost of living out here is higher but still pretty good. The building I am working in overlooks the Yarra River and only takes me about half hour to get there. The inside of the building is out of this world. It seems that in Australia, they invest money in making the staff happy unlike the experiences of Offices I have had in England. The people are all friendly and I am working with 8 other backpackers. Initially the contract is for 6 weeks but I am hoping it will be extended. The manager said I look like Ive a brain so im hopeful.

I have a few plans of things to do at weekend, I would like to go on the Neighbours Tour, see the sunset over the Great Ocean Road and visit the penquins at Philip Island. I would also like to go to Tasmania at some point but its freezing there at the moment so will give that a miss for now. I am planning on booking a trip to Ayres Rock with a company called The Big Rock Tour. I have heard its amazing. Problem is I have so many plans and so little money. Story of my life.
