We were up and out just after 9am as we were catching the 11am boat over to Alcatraz Island. We had to catch an old street car which is pretty much the same as a tram but not the ones you think of when you think of San Francisco; those ones are known here as cable cars. Wednesday 5th: We had lots to sort out on the Weds so didn't really get up to much. We popped out to find a supermarket and probably ended up in the most expensive one in the whole of San Fran! It was ridiculous. There were jars of pasta sauce in there for 12 dollars!! It was nice out as the sun was shining and it was actually quite mild. We've been so used to cold weather for so long it felt lovely. At the moment we are trying to get a flight sorted from here...
