We are away earlier in hopes of doing two tours today, but we miss the first one. Strange times. Ten and five. We walk around the world trade centre park. There are two deep pools/water displays where once stood the towers with treed gardens around. The new number 1 tower is again the tallest building in NYC and looks quite pretty. We decide to do the first boat cruise and have to stand in line for a long time before the bus comes to take us to the pier. The sun makes it very hot, but it's a nice trip around the river past the last liberty, Ellis island and the like. We have lunch once we are back in a park and try large pretzels. We walk around the park and see many ppl doing acts. Liberty's, flips and twists, selling photos and paintings, food. We decide to walk around the streets to pass time till the next tour. It's so hot we stop for cold drinks and buy the remaining stamp needed. The Brooklyn tour is not as extensive as reported. We are dropped off at Times Square. It's a sure place to find lots of ppl! We make our way back to the motel.
