Thursday 2nd July

It's a bit of a fitful night and the sun gets up early. We see elk wandering around. We are up packed and in the national park before 7am. We eat so e breakfast then walk around the rim. It truly is grand. We decide we want to catch the buses that go further around and do so. We walk a little way down Into the canyon. Pretty dry and red. It's quote warm but so much more manageable than Vegas. We want to leave around 12pm so we can continue on our way, but it's more like 1:30 by the time we leave. We make one more stop I the canyon park to see the water tower. It's a few hours drive to our next stop at Powell lake and dam. We buy some supplies in page before heading to the lake. We end up buying an annual park pass as we are going to so many national parks! Works our a lot cheaper. Thankfully there are camp sites still available and we get set up and have dinner. It's very warm for evening and we walk down to the lake. It's beautiful scenery but hard to explain. We wait for showers and mange to get by in the last persons money and don't need to use our $2 (for 15min). Then bed!
