Friday 1st May

A slow start, but we dug into some cleaning of the apartment. It's the least we can do for the free accommodation! It's rewarding to see improvement! Evelina and Matias come about 1:30pm are we head over to Tigre. It's a beautiful delta section on the river. Lots and lots of canals. We catch a boat taxi and head up past many houses. Some are just weekend houses, like beach houses. The area is huge, but we only scratch a small portion. We stop at a tourist spot and get some afternoon dinner. We pass an old derelict building that was going to be a hotel, but never completed. The local government has taken possession now and is going to demolish it. Reminds me of the Sheridan on Rarotonga. By the time the ferry returns it's getting dark. The rain mostly has stayed away. We walk towards some large local markets. Apparently well known for home wares etc. it starts to rain so we return to the car and just drive past. They look interesting from what we can see.
