Well hello there!
The weather in Sydney is a pain in the butt! one minute its sunny, then its freezing, then its a storm, wish it would make up its mind, and praying it's going to be sunny on christmas day!
Not been up to much really, Only been here since the 9th, but am getting a little bored of the city already if im honest. its big, busy and loud, so much to see and do, but being a traveller obviously you have to try and be sensible. i resisted buying a dress today at paddy's market, mum will be so proud!! LOL. The harbour is amazing in the sun or at night time all lit up, got some good photos last night, I've put them on facebook. I'm out tonight in the side bar at wake up, one of my room mates kirsty is leaving, so we'll be buying some goon and getting drunk. Still have not arranged anything for xmas and new year! think me danni lynch and hannah are going to buy bondi beach tickets for xmas day from wake up reception, someone told us they were cheaper, and you get dinner with it. I imagine it's going to be absolute madness, thousands of people crammed onto a beach...hopw I dont get squashed and drown in the sea! It's very much like home here....everywhere we go, we seem to attract complete nutters. A few nights ago in the side bar, me hannah and our gay friend Stu were being propositioned into some orgy/foursome type thing by this really odd couple that kept touching me and hannah...WEIRD. we, of course turned this wonderful offer DOWN! Then we were lying in the park today, and this drunk irish bloke was begging us to drink goon and smoke weed with him and his mates because its nearly xmas and we should be celebrating and having a good time. He was completely stoned and started on this poor little tramp sitting on a bench, acusing him of something or another. Hannah said, where do these people come from??? I said, well this happens to me alll the time at home! I seem to attract the oddballs! haha. All in all, there's not too much to tell. I have been looking into what I want to do after my oz intro (5th jan - for 1 week) I've no doubt certain people in my group will sway me if their plans are different, but I am definitely looking into getting the oz experience bus (its a hop on hop off bus pass which lasts 6 months) to do the east coast (all the gorgeous picture postcard beaches like fraser island, whitsundays etc etc) If I did that I will eventually end up in Cairnes. I'll probably do a bit of fruit picking here and there during those months, and then maybe work for a bit in Cairnes depending on my dosh situation. I think I would then like to book the trip, where it's a days horse trek through the rainforests/beaches and you end up in cape tribulation, that would be amazing. So that's my rough plan, but I am sure it will change.
Next week I'm going to get in touch with my mate jenna whose staying in manly, and get her to take me danni and hannah to all the little secluded coves and beaches round there, I'll invest in a snorkel mask (probably put a nappy on due to me sh*tting myself in the sea) and go for a snorkel with the girls and a sunbathe, manly is lovely, but I have only seen it in bad weather so far. boo!
This is a very expensive city indeed, and you spend your money so easy. England wise.....I watched Alex and Beyonce perform on x factor via youtube... wicked!!! am so glad she won, brought a tear to my eye she was so good. Sorry to say not missing anyone too much yet, think that'll happen when I'm proper travelling in random deserted places, at the mo I am missing my neighbours and home&away!! I won't do my neighbours tour till next year probably, as it's down in Melbourne. BUT Home&away is filmed on palm beach which is apparently near Sydney, so we are going to go on an adventure and try to find it, and have our fotos taken by the diner!! hahaha I am so sad, I know.
Right, I'm off to check facebook before catching some more rays, and then getting ready to go out tonight! hope everyones well, thanks for all the messages, lots and lots of love, Amy xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
