We left for our journey to Gili Trawangan, a small island off of Bali, early on Wednesday morning. After getting to where the boat left we hopped on board a fast boat over to the island. On the way we decided to sit out on top to get a breeze and of course some more sun rays. Being on the boat and going past all of these little islands reminded us of our time in Fiji, the sea wasn't quite as blue and the beaches not as white but it was still lovely. Gili T as its called for short, is an island with no vehicles. The only modes of transport available are horse and cart, bicycles or foot. We found our hostel very quickly and then had a walk down the beach and a drink. Most of our days on Gili T were spent lying on the beach, cooling off in the sea, and trying to avoid the random down bursts of rain that happened. A couple of the days the rain hardly stopped so we watched a few films in our hostel too. We also discovered the night market on the 3rd night, which sold ridiculously cheap, fresh, lovely Indonesian food! We ended up eating there for the rest of the time on the island. After 5 nights on the island, it was time to head backto crazy Kuta for a couple of nights where we stayed at our favourite hotel again, which we had first stayed in when we arrived in Bali. We had an early night on the Tuesday before our 4am get up for the airport ready to catch our flight to Singapore! Bali was a great experience and we got to see lots of different things. We're definitely enjoying how cheap things are, the different culture and of course the food!! Lots of love Meg and Amy xxxxx
