After our flight we arrived and were very excited to be in a city again with lots to see. We only had a day and night here so even though we woke up at 4am we were prepared for a busy day! After getting the tube and finding our hostel we were still in time for our free breakfast so made the most of that before getting our map and going off to explore. We got a day pass for the 'tube' line and our first stop was Marina Bay where most of the landmarks are. There is a huge shopping centre here full of designer shops so we made the most of it and looked around Gucci, Prada, D&G, Mulberry having a good look so we could pick the best fake versions when we got to Bangkok, the shop assistants obviously knew we didn't belong and followed us around!!! In love with Singapore already from what we had seen we headed to the Marina Bay Sands hotel and resort as it looked amazing and very expensive. It has the worlds largest outdoor infintiy pool on the roof, the size of 3 olympic pools and an bar/club, the hotel looks like a boat sat on top of 3 seperate pillars from the outside and we loved it. So obviously we had to go inside and managed to get ourselves in the lift and up to the 36 floor where we had pictures with the skyline before quickly heading back before we were thrown out, unfortunatley there were lots of security measures to get to the pool so we gave up! All around the bay are lots nice buildings so we walked all the way around and stopped for a break near the famous Fountain of the lion with a fish body Spirting out water.
Next up we needed a lunch break and despite our concerns about the cost, as everyone had said how expensive Singapore is, we found it Very cheap and were happily suprised! More shopping and a nice break smelling the clothes in Abercrombie we walked to the Botanical Gardens, our favourite location in any city as their free! It was very hot and we wanted nice pictures of us and the nightime skyline so we went back to get changed and were soon back on the tube heading for our dinner stop. We went to China Town and it was amazing as they are still celebrating Chinese New Year so there was a huge dragon covering the length of a street and lots of lantens everywhere! We didnt fancy Chinese but hit the jackpot when we found Little India and had an amazing Naan bread with curry sauce and it was so cheap we loved it. Our photoshoot wasnext up so we headed down the river to Marina Bay again where we spent about an hour taking photos with the skyline. It was hilarious as we had to use the self timer so it took a while to get good photos with the hotel in the background but we had lots of fun doing it. We have officially fallen in love with Singapore and don't understand why most people we spoke to had negative things to say. However we are moving on to our next stop and a mimi reunion with a visit to Ash in Kuala Lumper.
Lots of Love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
