Day three:

Today we thought we ought to be active after our day if laziness and so we headed into Venice again.

This time we braved the long queue in the midday sun to get into St Marks basilica. I bought a fan which has made things a lot easier.
The basilica was nice and everything but I'm honestly getting a tad churched out. There's only so many you can see before they all start to merge into one.

We sat with some amazing gelato watching the gondola go by this afternoon. It was like something from a movie.
I was very disappointed though as none of them sang the cornetto song :(
We decided ourselves not to go on a gondola this time, as they are around €100. Perhaps if we visit Venice again not on a travellers budget we may do.

We went to a restaurant tonight for dinner which looked reasonably priced. Until the lady brought me the bill which had some random charges in it. When I asked about it she explained the extra money added on was for the table! The table! Honestly, as if its an added luxury to be able to sit down when you eat.

Venice is expensive.
