So we arrived in Venezia last night and have spent the entire of our first day here getting completely lost in the maze that is Venice.
But let me first tell you about our accomidation here. We are stating in a campsite just in the outskirts of Venice. They have lovely chalets, bungalows and then small dingy tents. Yep we're staying in the one if the small dingy tents.
So we get three beds in the tent, one plug sockets and a light. One of these beds has been transformed into a wardrobe and general shelf.
We also have tent A which means we are right on the end of the big line of tents meaning we get no shade. So at around 4.00am you start to get cooked by the sun, resulting in the tent turning into a sauna, no lie-in and a very grumpy and sweaty Amber and Ben.
Aside from that the campsite also has a pool which looks rather nice and the shared toilets and showers are kept very clean.
Anyway back to Venice. Venice is beautiful and totally surreal. The amount of bridges we walked over today was insane. Of course we got totally lost as none of the maps make any sense.
Eventually we did find St. Marks square the grand canal which were both very impressive.
It such a strange, one of a kind city. Here you would have the family boat to get around instead if the family car.
Had dinner in the camp restaurant, which served the most amazing bruschetta ever. All for now. Time for another sweaty sleep.
