Today was our last day in Paris and was a free one to do as we wished (and we certainly made the most of it).
We started at the Louvre and just picked the main sights like the Venus de Milo and the Mona Lisa. You could spend a week in the Louvre and not see it all but after a couple of hours the crowds were getting heavy so we moved on to visit Notre Dame (massive building with huge stain glass circular windows), then on to Saint Chappelle - a smaller chapel with exquisite floor to ceiling stain glass windows.
From here we caught the Metro up to shopping area of the Champs Elysees and window shopped back up to the Arc de Triomphe when we caught the Metro again out to Sacre Coeur, another well known landmark of Paris. It is a really beautiful church however photos were not allowed to be taken inside.
That evening we went with many of our group to Moulin Rouge with their beautiful (and somewhat risque) dancing girls. Incidently, a majority of the girls are Australian. It was all good fun and we had a great night.
Paris was great but it is certainly not set up for people with mobility issues as everywhere we went there were steps and hardly any lifts or escalators.Would like to spend more time in Paris.
