Wow looking back we spent a whole week here! How time flies when u waste days with a hangover! Don't understand how people can do it so often whilst travelling! They must see and do nothing!
Tue 14/8
Arrived early in the morning, got to our hostel and we were told we couldn't check-in until 11am. We were going to head to the beach but in the time we were having a nice cold drink a room became available for us! Happy days! We were totally knackered! Had a bit of a nap before heading out for lunch, it was terribly hot so we decided to do as the asians do and wait till late afternoon before heading to the beach! Was cooler when we got there, especially the sea, much more refreshing than the water in Hoi An! Sun went down really quick tho so maybe left it a bit too late! As we were leaving the beach was just getting busy, still think its weird that the locals wait until its nearly dark before heading to the beach! Had our last night with Cat n Ali, they were off to Saigon in the morning so we definitely wouldn't be bumping into them on any beaches again. Had a great night, the cocktails were tasting very good!

Oh dear! Oh dear oh dear! The cocktails were obviously too good last night! Woke up feeling very ill! We had to drag ourselves out of bed as we were changing hotels (our one had the tiniest room and a piffley shower) and although our next one was just round the corner it felt like the longest, hottest walk with the heaviest bags! Needless to say we climbed back into bed for some more sleep! Its a horrible cycle here in the heat with a hangover! At home you can crawl to the kitchen and find something to eat to give you energy but here you have to go out to a cafe but you don't have the energy to go out in the heat, then you end up sleeping more and feel the same until you know that if you don't go now its only going to get worse! We are very out of practice with this drinking malarky! We managed to go out for a late lunch but ended up heading back to the hotel afterwards as didn't feel like doing anything else! Feel very sorry for the Lyons having to get up early and go diving today!lol.

Ahhh a new day and feeling human again! Beach here we come!! Found a nice bar that did an awesome english breakfast and then headed to the beach where we rented a sun lounger and spent the whole day between there and the sea. I was over the moon coz we went to buy some snacks for lunch and i found salt and vinegar crisps! Have been unable to find them anywhere since leaving home and had gotten a real craving for them a few days ago! Left the beach when we noticed a big black cloud heading our way and it was perfect timing as the heavens opened just as we got back to the hotel!

Another beach day today! Its so nice to spend our relaxing time by the beach rather than in a hotel room, not that anyone will believe us but it gets tiring being on the go the whole time!

Today we are missing my favourite event of the whole year back home - the annual eynhallow trip! Its days like today you really really miss home! I dread to think what it will be like missing christmas! Instead we headed out on a boat trip. Stopped at an aquarium first, didn't have high expectations as it was just small but it turned out to be no that bad, next we went to the beach off an island to do some snorkelling to see the coral reefs, on the way we were informed that 10 o'clock is beer o'clock, sounded good to us!lol. Australia am sure its not but it was a nice to see the colourful fish while we were swimming. The boat which was full of benches at the beginning folded down to make a large table and we had a really nice buffet lunch on the boat followed by entertainment from the local 'boy band' The crew actually did a really good job of entertaining us! The one guy (ladyboy) dressed up as a woman and did a striptease, it was very funny! Cam was honoured as she/he gave him a bunch of flowers, although he gave them straight back sos not to make the other guys feel left out!lol. After the show we jumped in the water again for happy hour at the floating bar, not sure what the drink was but it went down a treat! Last on our itinerary was to head to the beach of another island where we were free to do what we wanted, the sun had kinda gone tho so we sat around and had a few drinks wae the other guys on the trip. By the time we got back we were all geared up for heading to the beach party that night but next we know I was waking up not knowing if it was morning or not and very confused! Turned out to be 8pm at night and we had both dropped off after the boat trip!lol. Sobered up after the sleep and the beach party didn't seem so appealing any more! Out for dinner and an early night instead!lol.

Booked our bus to leave tomorrow, relaxing as it is we have to move on! One last day spent relaxing on the beach! Met a couple of nice lasses fae Australia when we were out for dinner, had a couple of drinks wae them, and then a couple more and then a few more again! Had a really good night but think leaving tomorrow will be out the window now!

Yup, we were right! The early bus was a no go this morning! Another day feeling sorry for ourselves watching tv in the hotel room! Bus changed to tomorrow morning, we will get out of here eventually!lol.
