After checking out of our hotel we had an hr to kill before the Jain Temples opened so we stopped at a traditional weaving place. We got to see how they made the rugs and even have a shot ourselves. Its amazing how they can make whole rugs from memory without making any mistakes! We visited two of the Jain temples, the main temple, Chaumukha Mandir being our favourite, it was huge with 1444 individually carved pillars throughout. On our way to Udaipur we stopped to feed the monkeys biscuits by the side of the road. It was very amusing to see them try to pinch the biscuits through the glass. Udaipur is a lovely city, our hotel was next to Lake Pichola and we had great views of the Lake Palace Hotel (we will come back when we are rich to stay there!) which featured in the bond film Octop**** We went to Saheliyon-ki-Bari which was a beautiful garden with fountain, marble elephants and a lotus pond. Then we headed up to Monsoon Palace (also in Octop**** to watch the sunset. Before dinner we went to Bagore-ki-Haveli to watch traditional Rajasthani dancing. The main act was a lady who danced with 10 pots on her head! It was amazing!!
