Today we drove to Mangalam Resort in Khuri, (not far from Jaisalmer) for our camel safari. Once we arrived we packed a bag and headed straight out on the camels. To begin with it felt like we would easily fall off as didn't have much to hold on to (especially when the camels stood up) but soon got used to them. We were guided through the desert for the first half where we got some great views. Our guides then got on the camels with us for a faster ride. It was much more fun! Didn't realise how fast camels were! We stopped on the dunes to watch the sunset and a boy came and sung a song to us. We went back to the resort for dinner and more local singers before heading back into the desert, this time on a cart pulled by a camel. We spent the night in the desert on beds under the stars.
