The great ocean road was gorgeous. We saw lots of beaches and caves and did a little rainforest walk. Saw the 12 apostles, which there are only 8 of and there use to be nine, but never 12. They are cool but I didn't see why they are such a big tourist attraction. The views from the Grampians were better. In the morning we went to the top of Mount Difficult and saw Hall's Gap and Mount Wonderland. Also saw the Jaws of Death and an info center that had Roos and emus.
Checked into the nunnery when we returned. This hostel is soooo much better. The girls in my room are lovely. I had drinks with them and a few others in the hostel on my first night at the free BBQ. Did a few runs around the botanical gardens and fitzroy gardens. Fitzroy suburb is cute; lots of little cafes and restaurant in a very trendy hipster way.
Also went to Phillip island tour. We stopped at a wildlife park with an albino kangaroo and lots of wildlife. At night we went to the stands to watch the fairy penguins come out of the ocean and find their nests for the night. Soooo cute! On the ride back Luke, the tour guide, and I made up a themed tour where you did a Shakespeare reading on the bus. It included costume planning and forced peer pressure. Randomly hilarious.
