Fiji has been a blur. My first resort was amazing. They sang to us as we arrived on shore. There was a really tough hike at sunrise to the top of this insane rock that I wasn't sure if I would make it up. I did fall a few times on the way down. I wove a bracelet, made a shell bracelet, got a braid in my hair with shells, drank kava again, danced Fijian dances, and enjoyed every spare moment in a hammock on the beach. Coral view after that was ok. It was more commercial resort style. Kenny the dive instructor was friendly, but everyone else was very formal.
Gold Coast for two nights after that was adorable. You ate with the family and they played guitar and sang with us after. A dog was trained as a guide to take you on a hike to the blue lagoon. Some people I met on the first island showed up and we ate banana cake with lemon tea at a cute island tea shop. The next morning we went to the salavau caves. It was amazing. You had to swim under a dark tunnel to get in but the guide pretty much carried me through. Inside was breathtaking. Another site I find difficult to describe.
