Alyson; Well hello there everybody. We are here in BAngkok and its HOT! Not sunny though the sun does not seem to get through the smog. Bangkok is ok bit smelly and there is sooooooooo much traffic and roads are 8 lanes thick and to cross you just have to run - quite scary. We have been off on a tour of Buddhas and temples today with our personal little tuk tuk driver taking us around which was very scary at times, he took us down every back road and poor community you can imagine, he also nearly killed us in a crash (we were also all in 1 small tuk tuk - not the best idea as it is just a moped with a bench attached to the back, as you can imagine he had some trouble getting up hills with his full load). We have also found the Khao San Road which is the main backpackers place with lots of bars and restuarants and other tourists which has been cool. Tomorrow we have booked ourselves on a 2 day trekking adventure. it involves trekking in the jungle, riding elephants, canoeing down the river Kwai - should be fun!
